Version 1.0 · 4 November 2026 · Applies when supplied with and accepted as part of a new order. Existing agreements are not replaced retrospectively.
1. Who you are dealing with
Very Easy Web Hosting is the trading name of Ashley Deutschmann, an individual trader ("we", "us" and "our"). Our South African address for correspondence and service of legal documents is 15 Rhodes Avenue, Komga, South Africa, 4950. This is not a shop, public office or premises open to visitors. Contact hello@veryeasywebhosting.com for orders, support, complaints, cancellation and legal enquiries. The business is operated remotely, including from Bulgaria. The trading name does not represent a separate limited company.
"You" means the customer identified in the accepted order. A person ordering for an organisation confirms that they are authorised to bind it. An adult or otherwise legally competent contracting party must place a paid order. Authorised younger users may use an institution-managed account under the institution's arrangements and applicable law.
2. Your order and these terms
These terms cover domain services, hosting, website creation, maintenance, migrations, Very Easy Mail, Very Easy Cloud, Very Easy Sign-In and related administration services. Only services expressly included in your order are supplied. Products from other suppliers may have additional product terms shown before purchase.
The shop already publishes its Customer Master Agreement and individual domain, hosting and other product agreements at shop Customer Master Agreement and product terms. For an order placed through that shop, the agreement and product schedules presented and accepted at checkout govern that purchase. These website-wide terms do not silently replace those agreements, change an existing order or override registrar and registry obligations. If we offer an additional service outside the shop order, its separate accepted scope and terms apply to that additional service.
A website brief, enquiry, estimate, availability search or automated acknowledgement is not our acceptance of an order. The contract is formed when we expressly accept your order in writing or the checkout confirms that the order has been accepted. Domain registration succeeds only when the registry accepts it. If we cannot accept an order, we refund money received for the unfulfilled order.
Your order must identify the service, deliverables, total price and currency, applicable taxes, payment dates, service period, renewal method and any material limits. Quotes are valid for 14 calendar days unless they state another period. Mistakes are corrected before acceptance; we do not substitute a higher price without your agreement.
Mandatory law takes priority. Subject to that, a specifically agreed written order takes priority over these terms for its commercial scope; the data-processing provisions take priority on processing personal information. Registrar and registry rules apply to the relevant domain transaction. Other supplier terms apply only to the product identified, not indiscriminately to all our services. No order or supplier term excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
3. Prices, payments and currencies
Recurring services are payable in advance for the billing period stated in the order. Website projects are payable 50% upfront and 50% on completion as described in section 5. We begin scheduled paid work after the initial payment clears and necessary materials and access have been supplied. Third-party purchases require advance payment unless expressly included in an agreed project price.
PayPal or Revolut payment instructions are provided with the invoice or checkout where available. Availability depends on country, account and provider restrictions. Never send card details or account passwords by email. The amount and currency on the accepted order and invoice govern payment. A display conversion is an estimate unless expressly stated to be the settlement currency. Your bank or payment provider may apply its own exchange rate or fees. We do not add undisclosed payment surcharges. Any lawful customer-payable fee must be disclosed before the order is accepted.
Taxes are stated on the order as required by law. We do not describe an amount as VAT unless lawfully chargeable. A customer's location and status may affect tax treatment. You must provide accurate billing information.
Invoices are due on the stated date. Tell us promptly about a disputed amount and pay the undisputed balance. We may postpone new work and, after appropriate notice, suspend the affected unpaid service. This does not permit immediate termination where a statutory cure period applies. Collection costs are recoverable only to the extent reasonably incurred and legally recoverable; we do not impose arbitrary penalties. Statutory payment-dispute and chargeback rights remain available.
4. Renewals and price changes
The order states whether a service renews automatically or requires manual renewal. Do not assume a domain renews automatically. Unless your order and account expressly confirm an enabled automatic-renewal arrangement, you must arrange and pay for domain renewal before expiry. A reminder or invoice alone does not renew a domain.
For our rolling monthly services, you can request cancellation before the next renewal date, effective at the end of the current paid period. For a longer commitment, the order and section 8 govern early cancellation. We do not silently renew a consumer into another fixed term where law requires consent or month-to-month continuation. Where South African Consumer Protection Act section 14 applies, the statutory expiry notice and continuation rules apply, including notification 40–80 business days before expiry.
We may change a recurring price for a future renewal with at least 30 calendar days' notice, or a longer period required by law. You may decline renewal before the change takes effect. Registry prices and currency movements may affect future domain quotations, but not an already accepted, paid registration transaction. A materially adverse change during a committed period requires agreement or a lawful right to change with an appropriate cancellation remedy.
5. Website creation: scope, payment and completion
The agreed written brief defines the website: page count, functions, theme or design direction, content responsibilities, integrations and deliverables. Anything not included is outside scope. Examples, competitor sites and inspiration links do not add unspecified features. Hosting, domains, paid plugins, stock media, ongoing updates and copywriting are included only when itemised.
Payment is 50% upfront and 50% on completion. The final balance is due before public launch, transfer or handover of the completed work. Completion means that the agreed deliverables have been built and made available for your review on a working preview or other agreed review method, with no material failure against the agreed scope. Launch is a separate deployment step after payment and approval; completion does not depend on your deciding to add new features.
The price includes a maximum of two minor theme tweaks in total for the project. A minor tweak is one limited adjustment to an existing colour, font or spacing setting within the approved design. It is not a redesign, replacement theme, new layout, additional page, new functionality, substantial content restructuring or a collection of unrelated changes bundled as one request. The allowance does not accumulate across pages and has no cash value if unused.
Further tweaks, changes of mind, changes of design direction and additions require an additional written quote and your approval before work starts. We identify the extra price and schedule effect. If you do not approve the extra work, the original scope remains the basis for completion. We do not perform chargeable additions merely because they were mentioned in a discussion.
Corrections to our errors and work required to meet the agreed scope do not consume the two-tweak allowance and are not chargeable scope changes. This includes statutory remedies for defective service. You are not required to pay extra to receive what was originally agreed.
Please review the completion notice within seven calendar days and provide one consolidated list of specific departures from the agreed scope and any remaining included tweaks. We correct material departures and re-present the affected work. Silence is not a waiver of statutory rights or proof that a defect does not exist. If you delay review, payment becomes due only when we can demonstrate that the agreed completion standard has been met; no new scope is implied by the delay.
You supply accurate text, images, branding, legal notices and necessary access by the agreed dates, and obtain rights to use them. Your delays extend delivery dates by a reasonable corresponding period and may require rescheduling. After 30 days without required input, we may pause the project following written notice. Resuming work may require an agreed additional quote if circumstances or scope have materially changed; there is no automatic unquoted restart fee.
Unless expressly agreed, we do not promise search-engine rankings, sales, traffic, a particular accessibility certification or compatibility with every device or third-party extension. We use reasonable care and skill and meet the agreed technical specifications. Browser support and any accessibility target belong in the order. Your approval of copy or design does not release us from responsibility for our own actionable errors.
6. Website ownership, licences and handover
You retain ownership of your supplied content. You grant us permission to use it only to deliver and support the service. After full payment, we assign to you the transferable copyright we own in bespoke deliverables specifically created and paid for under your order. We retain pre-existing tools, templates, general methods, reusable code and know-how, and grant the licence necessary for you to use them as embedded in the paid deliverable.
Third-party themes, open-source software, fonts, photographs, plugins and services remain subject to their own licences. We identify material recurring licences and transfer restrictions before purchase. No assignment promises ownership of third-party or exclusively AI-generated material. We do not publish your confidential work in a portfolio without permission.
Handover includes the files, administrator access and documentation expressly specified in the order. We do not withhold a customer's independently owned domain or unrelated existing data as security for a disputed design invoice. Hosting cancellation does not automatically include free migration or conversion to another platform; any paid assistance must be agreed in advance.
7. Domains, certificates and third-party products
We act as a reseller or service intermediary where indicated; we do not claim to be the registry or an ICANN-accredited registrar. The sponsoring registrar and applicable registry rules must be identified in the transaction records or linked product terms. You are the registrant unless you expressly instruct an otherwise lawful arrangement.
Check spelling, extension, registrant details, eligibility and trademark risk before authorising a domain transaction. Availability results are provisional. Registration does not create trademark rights. You must keep registrant and recovery contact details accurate, complete required verification and respond to registrar notices. Incorrect details or failed verification may result in suspension under the applicable rules.
Registrations, renewals, premium-domain purchases, restorations and certificates may involve irrecoverable third-party charges once performed. They are not automatically refundable for a change of mind. This is subject to applicable cancellation rights, our failure to deliver and any supplier refund actually due. We do not treat every domain as automatically exempt from consumer rights, or describe every third-party charge as non-refundable regardless of circumstances.
Renew before expiry. Grace periods, restoration eligibility, redemption fees and deletion dates differ by extension and provider. Service may stop at expiry; an expired domain can ultimately be deleted or acquired by another person. We supply applicable renewal and restoration prices before charging and provide required renewal notices. No recovery is guaranteed after expiry.
Transfers are subject to registrar and registry procedures, verification, applicable locks and dispute orders. We cooperate with valid transfer requests and do not invent transfer restrictions. Cancelling hosting does not transfer or cancel a domain automatically. DNS changes can interrupt websites and mail while records update; migration scope must expressly identify which records may change.
Domain disputes may be governed by ICANN's UDRP or applicable country-code dispute procedures. You must comply with an applicable final order. Certificates validate the matters specified by their issuer; they do not guarantee that a website is legitimate or secure in every respect.
8. Cancellation, refunds and consumer rights
Contact hello@veryeasywebhosting.com with your name, order reference and clear cancellation instruction. No special wording is required. We confirm the effective date and provide an itemised settlement. A cancellation request is not itself authority to delete unrelated services or transfer a domain.
We do not offer an additional unconditional change-of-mind money-back guarantee. Mandatory cooling-off, cancellation and defective-service rights remain intact. A label such as "deposit", "custom", "digital" or "non-refundable" does not remove them.
For South African electronic consumer transactions where ECTA section 44 applies, the applicable service cooling-off period is seven days from conclusion of the agreement. The Act contains exceptions, including qualifying services begun with the consumer's consent within that period. We obtain the necessary consent before relying on an exception. Where the right applies, refunds follow the statutory timetable, including its 30-day repayment requirement. Other applicable statutory remedies remain available.
Where South African Consumer Protection Act section 14 applies to a fixed-term agreement, a consumer may cancel on 20 business days' recorded notice, subject only to a reasonable lawful cancellation charge and amounts properly due. We assess actual circumstances, committed costs, notice, benefits supplied and avoided costs. We do not automatically charge every remaining instalment or impose a charge that defeats the right to cancel. Other lawful cancellation rights, including those applicable to advance bookings and direct marketing, remain available where relevant.
Where EU/EEA or UK distance-contract withdrawal rules apply, consumers generally have 14 days from the service contract to withdraw. Starting a service during that period requires the relevant express request. Where lawful, you pay a proportionate amount for work actually performed at your request before withdrawal. Loss of the withdrawal right on full performance requires the legally required prior consent and acknowledgement. Digital-content rules are distinct and require their own consent and acknowledgement; a general checkbox accepting terms does not replace them. Missing legally required information can extend the withdrawal period. We refund within the applicable legal deadline, including 14 days where required.
Outside a statutory refund right, cancelling a website project requires payment for work reasonably completed at the agreed price or agreed rates and unavoidable authorised third-party commitments, less payments received and costs saved. The upfront 50% is credited against that calculation, not automatically forfeited. We refund any excess; if the lawful calculated amount exceeds it, the balance is payable. We do not recover the same cost twice.
Outside mandatory rights and a contrary order, prepaid hosting periods already begun are not refundable merely because you choose not to use them. If we discontinue a paid service without your breach and cannot provide an agreed replacement, we refund the unused prepaid portion. If our service is defective, the applicable repair, repeat-performance, price-reduction, cancellation and refund remedies take priority over this policy.
Refunds go to the original payment method where practicable and lawful. We do not require store credit instead of a legally due monetary refund or deduct an administration fee from a statutory refund where prohibited. Foreign-exchange differences imposed by independent providers are outside our control; we remain responsible for the refund amount the law requires us to pay.
9. Hosting and managed services
Your order identifies whether the product is supplier-hosted, our managed hosting or an unmanaged resource. It specifies storage, bandwidth, domains, databases, processing limits and management responsibilities. "Unlimited" must never be read as unlimited physical resources; any fair-use restriction must be disclosed before purchase and applied reasonably.
For unmanaged services, you maintain the software and applications you control. For managed services, we perform only the administration, patching, monitoring and support specified in the plan. We remain responsible for reasonable care in work we undertake. You must use supported software, protect credentials and cooperate with necessary maintenance.
We may apply proportionate rate limits or temporarily isolate activity that threatens shared resources or security. We explain the issue and reasonable options where practicable. We do not impose permanent material quota reductions during a paid commitment without an appropriate contractual basis and remedy. Hosting accounts must not be used for prohibited bulk storage or workloads where the specific product excludes them; those restrictions do not automatically prohibit the intended storage use of Very Easy Cloud.
Maintenance and dependency outages can affect availability. We give reasonable notice of planned material interruptions when practicable; emergency work may be immediate. No numerical uptime guarantee, response-time guarantee or service credit applies unless an explicit service-level schedule is included. This does not exclude statutory service-quality obligations.
10. Very Easy Mail
Very Easy Mail supplies the mailbox, domain and related features specified in the order. Mailbox storage, maximum message sizes, sending rates, aliases and any permitted mailing-list use are plan-specific. Ordinary mailboxes are not a bulk marketing platform unless explicitly agreed.
You must send lawful mail to recipients who have an appropriate basis to receive it, identify the sender accurately and honour applicable unsubscribe requirements. Purchased lists, spam, phishing, malware, impersonation and attempts to evade sending limits are prohibited. You are responsible for authorised users' conduct; we may temporarily restrict a compromised account to protect customers and reputation.
SPF, DKIM, DMARC, encryption in transit and anti-spam measures reduce risk but cannot guarantee delivery, inbox placement, acceptance by every recipient provider or detection of every threat. Filtering may misclassify messages. Review Junk where appropriate and report problems; do not rely on email alone for urgent or legally time-critical communication without confirming receipt.
Domain control and correct DNS are required. Mail migration, historic mail import, catch-all settings, forwarding and changes from an existing provider must be expressly included and authorised. Buying a mailbox does not authorise us to alter other providers' routing or delete existing mail. You should export important messages and maintain an independent copy suited to your needs.
11. Very Easy Cloud
Very Easy Cloud provides the storage, synchronisation, sharing and collaboration features in your plan. You control the content you upload, sharing permissions and recipients. A public sharing link may be accessible to anyone who obtains it. Use appropriate expiry, passwords and access restrictions where available.
Synchronisation can propagate deletion or corruption; it is not by itself an independent backup. Deleted-file recovery and version retention are limited to the settings and capacity in your plan. We do not promise permanent recovery, unlimited versions or end-to-end encryption unless expressly supplied. Server-side encryption or encrypted transport is not a promise that the service operator can never access content.
You must have authority to store and share the content. Workloads, storage quotas and supported clients are as ordered. Regulated or especially sensitive data requiring additional safeguards must be covered by an agreed suitable service and data-processing arrangement, not assumed to be supported by a standard account.
12. Very Easy Sign-In and administration
Very Easy Sign-In provides a common identity for participating services. Google and Facebook sign-in are available only when enabled and supported. You choose whether to connect an external account. The provider supplies the information described in our privacy notice and consent screen, normally an identifier and basic profile and email information where available. We do not require access to social posts or private messages to provide ordinary sign-in.
Link only an account you control. Matching email text alone is not proof of account ownership. Linking may require confirmation through an existing account or email verification. A sign-in identity does not automatically grant an administrator role, course enrolment, paid subscription or access to every connected service.
Protect your external account and any additional authentication factors. Provider outages, revoked consent or account closure can affect access; retain an available recovery method. Disconnecting an identity does not automatically erase the separate records held by a connected site. Logging out of one application may not end all other application or provider sessions; use the relevant session controls and contact us for suspected compromise.
Administrative access is limited to authorised persons and may require a VPN, multi-factor authentication and additional checks. Shared public identity access does not remove those restrictions. Do not share administrator credentials. You remain responsible for deciding who in your organisation should be authorised; we implement the agreed access, not an automatic grant based on a social login.
Educational sites using the sign-in service set their own enrolment, teaching, assessment, safeguarding and academic rules. Hosting or identity provision does not make Very Easy Web Hosting the awarding institution. Existing account roles do not change merely because a sign-in method is linked.
13. Security, backups and migration
We apply reasonable technical and organisational measures proportionate to the service and information processed. No internet-connected system is immune from disruption or attack. You must use strong unique credentials, available multi-factor authentication, supported devices and appropriate access controls, and promptly report suspected compromise.
Backups are provided only to the extent stated in the service description. The backup schedule, retention, exclusions and restoration scope must be recorded in the order or plan; an internal backup job is not automatically a contractual recovery-time or recovery-point guarantee. We do not represent an untested backup as proven recoverable. Unless a dedicated backup service expressly replaces this responsibility, retain independent copies of business-critical data.
Migration requires authority over the source and destination and an agreed list of systems and data. We take reasonable precautions and verify the agreed scope. You must retain source access and data until the agreed checks are complete. We do not cancel a third-party subscription, change unrelated DNS or delete source data without authority. Additional remediation of undocumented source problems is quoted before chargeable work.
14. Acceptable use, complaints and suspension
The Acceptable Use Policy forms part of these terms. We may investigate credible abuse reports and take proportionate action. Where practicable, we notify you of the issue, affected service and remedy period. Immediate limited restriction may be necessary for an active security threat, unlawful use, a binding legal order or serious harm to others. We preserve an opportunity to contest a mistake unless legally prohibited.
For remediable breaches we allow a reasonable cure period, including any longer mandatory period. Where CPA section 14 applies, supplier cancellation for material non-compliance follows its 20-business-day notice and cure requirement. Emergency protective suspension is not used as a device to bypass statutory termination rights. We restore access when the reason is resolved, subject to lawful restrictions and recovery requirements.
15. Personal information and confidentiality
Our privacy notice explains processing for our own business, billing, support, security and identity purposes. Where we host personal information on your behalf, the Data Processing Addendum applies. You determine the lawful purpose of your content, give required notices, obtain necessary authority and issue lawful instructions. Neither party may require the other to breach applicable data-protection law.
We use confidential information only for performance, support, protection of the service or a lawful obligation, disclose it only to persons with a legitimate need and appropriate duties, and protect it with reasonable care. This does not restrict information already public without breach, independently developed, lawfully obtained elsewhere or required to be disclosed by law. We give lawful advance notice of compelled disclosure where permitted.
16. Ending a service and retrieving data
Before cancellation, export data you need and arrange replacement services. Unless your order states a different period, we provide a 30-calendar-day retrieval period after the end of our hosted Mail, Cloud or website service, using a reasonably available export or restricted retrieval method. This is not a promise to continue live delivery, syncing or public hosting. It does not extend domain registration or third-party recovery deadlines.
After that period, active service data may be deleted, with residual backups expiring through normal rotation and legally required records retained for their lawful purpose. We communicate any material exception. Legal restrictions, a security incident or a customer's earlier valid deletion request may change retrieval arrangements. We do not promise restoration after deletion. Bespoke migration assistance may be charged only at an agreed price. Statutory access and data-subject rights are not conditioned on buying migration assistance.
17. Responsibility and limits
Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable statutory consumer remedies, fraud, deliberate wrongdoing, gross negligence where non-excludable, or death or personal injury where exclusion is prohibited. We remain responsible for our own obligations; referring to a supplier does not automatically remove them.
For business-to-business contracts only, to the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses or loss of anticipated profit, opportunity or goodwill. Our aggregate liability arising from the affected service is limited to the fees paid or payable for that service in the 12 months preceding the event; for a one-off website project the limit is the total project fee. The exclusions in the preceding paragraph, amounts lawfully due as refunds, and liabilities that applicable data-protection law does not permit us to limit are outside this cap. Related events are treated as one series, not a separate cap for each message or outage.
For consumers, these business exclusions and cap do not apply. Liability is determined under applicable law, including responsibility for reasonably foreseeable loss caused by breach and the obligation to mitigate avoidable loss. Customers should notify us promptly and reasonably cooperate in limiting damage.
A business customer is responsible for third-party claims caused by its unlawful supplied content or deliberate infringement, to the extent attributable to that customer. Any indemnity is limited to reasonable, evidenced losses and defence costs, with prompt notice, an opportunity to participate in the defence and no admission or settlement imposing obligations without reasonable consultation. It does not cover our fault or create a consumer indemnity.
18. Events beyond reasonable control
Neither party is responsible for delay caused by an event genuinely beyond its reasonable control to the extent the law permits, provided it takes reasonable mitigating action and informs the other of material effects. This does not excuse ordinary preventable failures, remove accrued payment or refund obligations, or suspend statutory rights. If a material inability to supply continues for 30 days, either party may end the affected unperformed service with a fair settlement and refund of amounts paid for supply that will not occur.
19. Notices, complaints and disputes
Send complaints to hello@veryeasywebhosting.com with the order reference and desired resolution. We aim to acknowledge within two business days and provide a substantive response within ten business days, or explain the investigation timetable. These are service targets rather than a purchased response-time guarantee. Urgent security reports should clearly identify their urgency. You may use an applicable regulator, ombud, consumer body or court without first surrendering any legal right.
South African law governs the contract to the extent a choice is permitted. That choice does not deprive a consumer of mandatory protections or forum rights under the law that would otherwise apply, including applicable protections in the consumer's home country. Operating from Bulgaria does not make mandatory Bulgarian or EU duties disappear. No clause requires a consumer to bring a claim exclusively in South Africa where the law gives a different right. There is no compulsory private arbitration requirement.
Email notices are sent to the latest notified address; keep it current. A message is not deemed received merely because we pressed Send where law requires actual delivery. Important contract records, accepted versions and order confirmations are supplied in a form you can save.
20. Changes and general provisions
We may publish updated terms for future orders. Changes to an existing contract require an applicable contractual or legal basis, reasonable notice and any required consent or cancellation option; publication alone does not retrospectively change it. A failure to enforce a term immediately is not a permanent waiver. If one provision is unenforceable, the remaining lawful provisions continue without rewriting your mandatory rights. Neither party may transfer obligations in a way that unlawfully reduces the other's rights. Subcontracting does not remove our responsibility for the service we contracted to provide.
